An image of lichen growing on a rock with rust coloured pine needles piled around it

“How do we survive this?
We hold each other close.
We protect our peace.
We find joy, make joy, become joy.
We speak light when there is darkness and where there is no light to be found,
We become it.”

Relational Psychotherapy

As a relational psychotherapist, I work alongside you in surfacing unconscious stories you may have about yourself that could be hindering your connection to self and others.

Working within a relational psychotherapy framework, I will be interested in your early attachments, other important relationships and also the relationship that will be forming between us. I will be curious about where you have learned the relational patterns that you may be feeling stuck in with present day relationships with self and others. Creating a safer space for you to be present with your needs is the work we do together.

Image shows a woman with long, light brown hair and a kind gentle smile standing in front of a red leaf shrub and a grey house. The woman is wearing a cream knit vest over a dark green turtle neck.

About Me

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I have a private practice in Toronto with the option of in person and virtual sessions. I acknowledge my work takes place on Turtle Island on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudensaunee and the Wendat peoples. I am queer, a parent, able-bodied and a white settler with Irish, Scottish and English ancestry.

I did my training at the Toronto Institute of Relational Psychotherapy (TIRP), a graduate psychotherapy program accredited by the CRPO. I also hold a BA from the Simone de Beauvoir Institute in Women's Studies at Concordia University. I worked in the health and social services field for close to a decade working with people one-on-one before transitioning into private practice psychotherapy. With this, I have experienced the life changing impact that can happen when we have connection in our lives. When we have a safer connection within the therapeutic space we are then able to understand who we are and who we are with others.

Working Together

I bring an anti-oppressive, LGBTQ2S+ positive, harm reduction, sex positive, anti-racist, feminist perspective to the work. I understand that I cannot label myself without action in building safety. To me, it is a process not a label.

You can expect me to be non judgemental, client centred, deeply observant and direct. I like to bring in curiosity and playfulness along with empathetic understanding of complexities into the therapeutic space. We will work towards supporting you to identify your needs, emotions and wants. My role is to support you in knowing yourself fuller and this looks different for everyone.

I work with individuals and couples/relationships.
